2005 ASHES WINNER SIMON JONES JOINS AJ COACHING CRICKET ACADEMY
Schedule for the day:
- Boys arrive just before 9am.
- Registration and coaching sessions start at 9am.
- AJ U8s league game v Old Ruts cricket club starts at 9am.
- Simon Jones will arrive at 9.30am.
- AJ will meet him and they will walk over to each age group’s coaching session 9.30-9.45am to meet the children and coaches.
- Masterclass session with the U8s on the main square from 9.45am – 10am.
- Q&A in the marquee from 10am, so if coaches and managers can kindly escort all the children to the marquee before 10am please.
- AJ will introduce Simon to everyone and AJ will say a few words
- Simon Jones will say a few words
- Q&A will start at 10.15am – 10.25am
- Open floor 10.25 – 10.30am
- U8s will resume their league game with Old Ruts from 10.30am and all the age groups will head to their sessions. All age groups will enjoy an extended session on the day finishing at appproximately 11.30am.
- Simon Jones leaves at 10.45am.
Please make sure that all the children wear AJ Coaching shirts and caps on the day. If your son or daughter does not have an AJ shirt or cap please contact me. I have ordered a shirt and cap for all the children at the Academy.
Local press may attend and an official photographer will be taking pictures of this event.
There will be a marquee so even if it rains we will go ahead with the event. There will be coffee, tea and pastries to enjoy along with Simon Jones and myself. We will be sharing stories about how we got into cricket and giving you an insight into our professional careers.
It will be a fantastic event and we would like you and your children to be part of it. Please make a note of this date in your diaries and we hope to see you all there.
