AJ U8 played Bank of England U8s in a pairs match on Saturday 2nd of May at Dundonald Park.
Outstanding effort from all the boys to score 92-5 in 20 overs. 67 runs in total after deductions of 25 runs. Jacobi Glass top scored with 14 not out. Kiran Ramaiya supported him very well with 8 not out. All the batters contributed to post a decent score. In reply Bof E scored 88 for 11 wickets. Finishing on 33 runs after deductions. So a 34 runs win for the U8s who have now won 3 out of their 4 matches this season. Roshan, Freddie, Austin, Ahmed, Ishant all took 2 wickets each and bowled economically. Top effort from all the bowlers and fielders especially after Bof E had scored 36 off their first 5 overs. We took our catches and created run out opportunities by anticipating in the field.
