AJ U10 team fixture v Banstead at Dundonald Park Saturday 4th June

Another close game for our U10 team on Saturday at Dundonald park.

AJ batted first posting 116 for 4 in 20 overs. Gabriel Harrington Myers who had just played his first ever county match for Surrey on Friday scored a quick 52 not out to help the team reach 116 runs. Ahrjun and Ashwin supported well scoring 19 and 12 runs respectively. In hindsight they were 10-15 runs short of a really good score.

In reply Banstead reached the target of 116 for the loss of only 3 wickets in the last over. All the AJ bowlers bowled economically but could not pick up wickets at regular intervals. It was a fantastic learning experience for our team and much improvement is needed in all areas of the game for the return fixture on 2nd of July which will be played at Dundonald park.

Thanks to Banstead and AJ boys for playing and contributing to an excellent game of cricket!
